Marcus Füreder better known by his stage name Parov Stelar, is an Austrian musician, producer and DJ. His musical style roots in the combination of Jazz, House, Electro and Breakbeat. Parov Stelar is known as one of the pioneers of Electroswing. Marcus Füreder started gaining experience as a DJ at nightclubs during the mid-late 1990s. He got involved in producing and publishing in 2000. After his first maxi releases under his original name, Füreder decided to start his own business in 2003 and founded the label Etage Noir Recordings. A year later, now under the stage name Parov Stelar, the EP Kiss Kiss immediately landed in the playlist of the Austrian radio station FM4. KissKiss and the release soon after the LP Rough Cuts provided him breakthrough on the international electronic music scene.
