Apparat is the stage name for Sascha Ring, a German electronic musician living in Berlin and previous co-owner of Shitkatapult records. Starting out with dance floor-oriented techno, he later started to create ambient music and more recently became “more interested in designing sounds than beats”. His track “Goodbye”, featuring Soap&Skin, was featured in the French trailer of Rust and Bone, the trailer of Prisoners (2013 film), in a climatic scene in the Season 4 finale of Breaking Bad, the episode Broken Home on Nikita,”Kaltstart,” an episode of Tatort in 2014, also in a 2014 theatrical trailer for The Drop and most recently in the first released trailer for Taken 3. It was also occasionally used by Bonobo as a opening for his live shows. His track “Black Water”, was featured in episode 2 in series 6 of Skins.
