Long live the Punk) is a comedy drama placed in 1980, in which 19 year old Robert, fed up with hippy phoniness and bourgeoise narrow mindedness alike, flees the German provinces for West Berlin. The 2015 film was directed by Oskar Roehler and it is based on his autobiographical novel My Life as a monkey ass with strong elements of his youth as a punk. It stars Tom Schilling, Frederick Lau and Emilia Schüle between others.
